aeronautics, space and automotive areas, the federated
architectures have been replaced by the integrated architectures
of 1st and 2nd Generation (IMA and IMA2G/DIMA) for reasons of
mass, volume, power, reliability (cabling, connectors, assemblage,
etc.), and redistribution of functions (due to overload,
maintenance, or even failures). In 2013, at INPE, a dissertation
in the ETE/CMC Course evaluated the avionics architecture IMA and
applied it to the Nominal Mode of the Multi Mission Platform
(PMM). Now, this work presents a dissertation about an
appreciation, simulation and implementation of the Distributed
Integrated Modular Avionics (DIMA) architecture and its
application to space systems. Doing this the study reviews the
basic concepts and the open literature as well as lists the
industry standards related to the appreciation of this
architecture in the development of reconfigurable and fault
tolerant systems and their application to space systems. Models
and simulates the DIMA architecture in the same application and
conditions of 2013 work. After that implements in two Beagle Bone
Black computers with the AIR embedded Real Time Operational System
and compares with the previous simulations. The results suggest
that the DIMA architecture faithfully reproduces the simulations,
is robust to failures and permits the distributed reallocation of
the functionalities.",
